USB Stick Recovery
For a successful data rescue from defective USB sticks precise knowledge of the course of failure as well as previous problems. Profound knowledge about the structure of the memory stick is also important for rescuing the data: the number of memory chips and if monolith technology was used. With those informations we can estimate the chances and the costs of the USB stick data rescue.
USB stick recovery
We provide the following services for data rescue of physically and logically damaged USB and memory sticks:
USB stick recovery in our in-house laboratory
If there is a physical defect, the NAND memory chips have to be soldered out seperately. Dependent on the age and manufacturer of the USB stick, there a different capacities: from just a few megabytes (MB), 2 GB, 4 GB, 8 GB, 16 GB, 32 GB, 64 GB, 128 GB, 512 GB up to 1 and 2 TB are common. The data rescue can be accordingly.
Attingo rescues data from USB sticks by the following manufacturers:
Samsung, Kingston, hama, SanDisk, Intenso, Transcend, CnMemory, Philips, Toshiba, Verbatim, Corsair, ASUS, ADATA, Emtec, HP (Hewlett Packard), LaCie, Lexar, PNY, Silicon Power, TeamGroup, Platinum, TrekStor, Sony
Data loss from monolithic USB sticks
The monolithic structure is mostly used in mini USB sticks and micro SD cards. Here all the components are integrated in the circuit board. This can be tricky during the data recovery, because reading out the raw data is more complex and dependent on the manufacturer and the model.
