Database Recovery

The Attingo engineers have profound knowledge of the structures of every common database system. Ongoing research and permanent reverse engineering are the key to recovering data from defective databases. Thanks to our experience in this field we are well-prepared for all cases, regardless of the database type.

24h-Service 98% rescue success

Attingo can recover data - amongst others - of the following databases

Attingo - Your specialist for data recovery of databases

Our engineers know how database files are constructed. Consistency and integrity are crucial when it comes to database applications. The reconstructed data is only useful if it can be clearly defined, which datasets and relations include correct data. A professional verification of the relations and plausibility checks of the areas is necessary in many cases. Attingo Data Rescue has over 25 years of experience in reconstructing data from databases, ranging from dBase or Clipper to MS SQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, CMS and DMS or DBF.

Causes for data loss from databases

There are two typical errors when it comes to databases: either the internal structure is corrupt (damaged integrity) after inconsistent accesses or file system errors, or the physical storage is damaged and prohibits access to raw data..

Failure of the server or RAID-Array

Databases are saved on storages. This can be a single hard drive, a RAID group or the image of a virtual server. Every kind of data loss from storages also affect the databases saved on it. Further information about data loss from RAID and virtualized servers.

Errors in the file system

Errors in the file system may induce data loss from databases. A sudden operating system crash or a blackout result in transactions not being written correctly and provoking data loss. A common symptom is the 0-byte-problem: the database only has a file size of 0 bytes. To prevent the damage from getting worse it is very important to shut the server down immediately and not apply power any more.

Erased database, table or data set

Even if data sets or the whole database were deleted, data rescue is possible. Also shut the server down immediately in this case.

Databases are indispensable

Nowadays many software applications and so-called database management systems (DBMS) are used in companies who have to trust in the reliability of their databases. These informations comprise applications like Advocat or Navision, in-house developed programs, complete hospital information systems and SAP. Without these informations operations come to a standstill in many companies!
